Background
I’m Brandon Joel Queen, and Anglophonia is my independent English coaching practice—a one-man business built around a passion for language, communication, and helping people achieve their goals.
I began my career in marketing, working in international event management and content management, before my professional path expanded into business operations, administration, translation, and language instruction.
Across every role, one theme has remained constant: helping people communicate more effectively, build stronger relationships, and navigate professional and cross-cultural environments with confidence.
Over the years, I’ve worked with professionals, executives, university students, and adult learners from a wide variety of industries and backgrounds, especially finance and tech. My experience spans English coaching, translation, business support, and client-facing roles, giving me a practical understanding of how language connects with work, education, and daily life.
At Anglophonia, I combine international teaching experience with a business-minded perspective to create lessons that are personal, practical, and tailored to each learner. My goal isn’t simply to teach English—it’s to help you communicate with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Methodology
The word “to educate” comes from the Latin verb educere, meaning “to lead out,” “draw out,” or “bring forth.” This idea—that learning involves bringing forward something that already exists within the learner—is the foundation of my methodology. I see my role as a guide and coach as much as a teacher: helping you identify your strengths, develop your abilities, and build the confidence needed to communicate effectively.
My approach is holistic, incorporating all aspects of language development: grammar, fluency, accuracy, and literacy, as well as cultural competence. Language exists within a broader social and cultural context; understanding how people communicate is an essential part of becoming a capable and confident English-speaker.
Learning a language is a long-term process that requires discipline, consistent effort, and an open mind. Through my own language acquisition experiences, I understand the challenges and rewards of this journey firsthand. I encourage you to approach English in the same way you would approach mastering new software or professional expertise: growth comes through understanding the fundamentals, applying knowledge in practical situations, and building on information over time.

Each lesson builds upon the previous one, allowing your confidence and communication to develop naturally over time.
